On the new moons we pass through the gateway of the moon’s initiating energy. As the energy increases with the moon’s growth, we seek to understand what can develop out of the initiating energies.
When the full moon moment arrives, we are invited to open to a revelation about how the lunar energies as well as our plans are unfolding.
Both new and full moon missives are free for everyone.

What can you expect in each newsletter?
An opening note that speaks to the happenings at the time the e-news is being put together. There is often inspiration from nature and poetry offered here. Sometimes there is lament or celebration for the broken open world in which we are living.
A New Moon Gateway or Full Moon Revelation post inspired by the Tarot cards that are aligned with where the moon is at its birth or peak on the astrological wheel. Prompts for practice and readings/reflections questions are included.
Reminders of Carolyn’s and Soul Path Sanctuary’s upcoming offerings in the Tarot and Poetry sphere.

About Carolyn A. Cushing & Soul Path Sanctuary
Carolyn is a Tarot practitioner, seeker of justice, and poet. Through Soul Path Sanctuary, she offers spiritual mentoring, Tarot sessions, and online and in-person offerings to attune to the wisdom of the seasons and lunar cycles.
Soul Path Sanctuary offers those seeking to answer the call of their soul with prompts for dynamic spiritual practice and inspiration to move through the challenges of our lives and times.
The sanctuary’s virtual and in-person offerings serve those seekers who may not feel at home within one existing tradition, but still desire support and flexible structures for creating – or renewing – a practice for the whole self, honoring body, mind, and spirit as well as connection to community and the earth.
For over 20 years, Carolyn has taught Tarot and facilitated ritual in Western Massachusetts., on-line, and at Tarot conferences across the United States including the Omega Institute for Holistic Studies. Her Tarot practices and writing are included in The Gaian Tarot Companion Guide and Tarot for Troubled Times. She is cofounder of the Massachusetts Tarot Society and completed the Spiritual Direction Internship at the Spiritual Life Center in 2010.
Carolyn has collaborated with many Tarot luminaries including Joanna Powell Colbert, Mary Greer, and most extensively with Rachel Pollack. In 2021, Rachel said of Carolyn’s work with the Shining Tribe Tarot: “[Her] interpretations are brilliant, wide-ranging, deeply felt. I think she may be the Tribe's foremost interpreter (and yes, I'm including myself in the group of everyone else). Carolyn’s over 30 years of justice work has included developing curricula for bringing heart, strategy, and undoing oppression work into social change; organizing gatherings and strategy sessions for progressive communicators; and raising millions of dollars for social, racial, and environmental work all along the way.
In April 2023, Carolyn began a two-year term as the Poet Laureate of Easthampton, Massachusetts.
